I really enjoyed Solo, a lot more then I thought I would, it was a fun romp through the universe. I liked the Fast and Furious/Casino Royal/Italian Job story. very fun and enjoyable. and (BIG SPOILER IN 2 WORDS) yes (1) the (well I warned you) Maul showing makes sense. he did survive Episode 1, and later when on to rule a bunch of crime groups. It seems at this point he has lost most of his crime power, but Crimson Dawn seems to be the last hold, or an attempt to rebuild. I like how Han and Chewie met, reminded me of the old cannon, I liked that Han won the Falcon from Lando. I just enjoyed the fun space movie. I know enjoying stuff is like "forbidden" nowadays, but what about you? I would enjoy hearing what you though, and how big of a Star Wars Nerd are you on this scale?
  1. I watched some of the movies, sometimes, I like that one with that thing.
  2. I have seen them all, I know them all, they are like old friends, I can quote lines and know an Ewok from a Wookie.
  3. I watch the movies almost religiously, I have seen the cartoons. I played KotOR
  4. I dabble in the Expanded Universe, I read some books of the old cannon and some of the new. I lived KotOR
  5. I have read anything that said Star Wars on it, that is why I know about Reagan's Star Wars program. I live and breath Star Wars, I know the name of every person in the Jizz-wailer bands we ever see. and I just want to see (insert very little background characters: for me, Coren Horn, Thrawn, and Reven) to get the love they need and to be re-canonized or get live screen roles. (if you can't guess I am a 5)

I didn't see TFA in theaters, and when I saw it on my TV, I really didn't like it, but I absolutely loved the cinematography. It just didn't hit me as a good movie, quite forgettable. Rogue One, I waited a bit to see it on my TV, I liked it, thought it was a good movie (again, great cinematography), but not a good Star Wars movie. TLJ? I went and saw it in IMAX with my little sister. I was absolutely smiling through the entire film. The Cinematography was amazing, the sound was amazing, and the movie was so absolutely simple to pay attention to that It was just easy to watch. I finally got what Disney is trying to do with this franchise. They do not care about older fans at all. They are catering to children and the "family" experience. Bright, shiny and simple. "Please buy our merchandise. Please visit our theme parks. Please buy our video games, we really want your money." For those of us that are starting to pay attention to Disney's reaction to any criticism, it's turning from "I don't care about the fanbase" to "I want the older fanbase to just go away so we can mold a new generation of fans".

I'm going to still go see Solo, and it might be a "fun" movie, but from everything I've read, spoilers and all, I'm going to forget about it.

If you want to know where I stand as a fan, I really enjoyed the prequels. Also, I watched the Ewok movies religiously (I know some people don't even know these exist, look them up). Dark Forces is my favorite Star Wars game.

Rogue one should have focused on Kyle Katarn. Damn you Disney.

I'll let you know what I think of Solo, later on tonight when I go see it.

Not gonna lie, this is probably going to be the first Star Wars film since the original trilogy that I won't see in the theater because of the amount of crap the new ones have been. Glad to hear you enjoyed it, I'll wait though until its free on amazon :)
