Starfarer LTI path

So I'm looking to take advantage of the Cheap LTI nature of the dragonfly and using it to secure LTI on my starfarer. Can anyone explain to me if/how this would work? As I understand the process would be to:
Buy Dragonfly
Melt Starfarer
Upgrade Dragonfly LTI to Starfarer

Would I be able to do that?

I haven't tried to CCU a fly yet. In theory your plan should work, though I'd wait to melt the Starfarer until you can confirm the CCU. If you buy an LTI ship and CCU it, the ship changes, the LTI stays. It cannot be un-CCUed and the change doesn't take effect until you apply your CCU token to your account on your RSI hanger page.

you have to wait a week for a concept sale ship to be able to be ccu'd. This is the same issue for people with the buck during the last concept sale. IF you wait you should be able to CCU to anything when it is on sale. the problem will be that by the time you can ccu the bike to the starfarer ithe startfarer will no longer be on sale and you wont be able to get the CCU.

What i would suggest is to buy a ccu for a ship that is always on sale such as the Redermer to the starfarer as both are currently available. When you can, ccu the bike to the redeemer and then apply the CCU for the redeemer to starfarer.

Well , i said i was going to trade up my Cat for something else ......The only thing that happened was my Cat got LTI and 1 of my Bucks got melted. Figured i had to have a place to store my black and yellow moto's.

The other option is to wait until the anniversary or winter sales when most ships go back on sale; ccu it then.

I was able to melt my hornet stealth and my durr and upgrade them to lti with the dragonfly sale. was only able to do two right now. hoping to do my reliant this week
