I'm going to increase amount of memory in one of my gaming machines from 16GB to 32GB; I have two 8GB sticks in single channel right now /slots A2 & B2/, and they remain very cool even under heavy load;

Low temperature is very important to me, and I want to keep it low. The question is: should I add 2 identical sticks to another channel /slots A1 & B1/ (tech details below), or is it better to replace current sticks with two new 16GB sticks instead, and keep current A2 & B2 configuration, recommended for the best performance and best cooling.

Board: ASUS PRIME Z390-P
Memory: HyperX Predator XMP 3200MHz DDR4 CL16 DIMM 8GB x 2 in A2 & B2 slots, running @ 3200MHz

I use 4x16GB Corsair Vengeance PRO RGB

The highest temp I seen so far playing SC is around 45°C on max graphic setting and heavy load. (room temp around 20°C)

So don't think you need to worry if you got good airflow.

My PC interior... MSI ACE MEG Motherboard i9-9900K 64GB ram etc.... The number you see up right corner in red is CPU temp.

Ram doesn't care much about cooling, compared to CPU and GPU anyway. Just slap another 2 x 8GB sticks in and have fun!

Done.
Temperature looks fine, however it needs more monitoring.

SC likes more than 16GB of memory. I expected some improvement as I have 32GB on another gaming PC, and I'm not disappointed -- the game runs more smoothly now and performance is slightly better.
