I can't understand why they would put a cap on the number of ships they initially sell....
I mean, when a band sells a venue out, they add a second show.

-but I am an artist, and therefore am monetarily & logically challenged.
I don't care so much about exclusivity,
I just want what ship I'd like...to crash into others, with.

Ben's reasoning is that they want to maintain balance within the game and did say on the RSI forums that if they found a way to sell more and keep balance, they will.

Well, if i was to launch the PU for the first time and stumbled across dozens of javelins i would be rather disappointed, i'd like diversity at launch and limiting the number of purchasable ships permit that, but I may be wrong.

You have a point.
-Incidentally, this is what 100 javelins look like, when You throw them at one roman soldier.

hmm...now you have me thinking...lost faction of humans, way out in space to be discovered someday by the most far-reaching explorers, originally colonized by a faction trying to bring back the glory of the Roman Empire. Ships with names (and designs) like "Hoplite", "Centurion", "Legionnaire" and "Contubernia".

What better name for a ramming ship, than "The Caligula"
-or is it a tactic, not a ship name?

I.E. "I suggest we Caligula the space station with our remaining javelins, Captain."

It's neither, it was the nickname (in some accounts his original name) of Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus Germanicus, Emperor of Rome from AD 37 to AD 41, the greatest/worst tyrant to ever live according to some. This guy made Saddam Hussein look like a saint.

I am Quite aware of the History of the name.
My Question was whether it is a good name for a ship, or a tactic,

-a feeble attempt at sick humor.
My apologies if I offended.

No, I just wasn't aware of your intent. I'd go for the latter as I wouldn't want a ship named after the emperor, but others might go for it.

I have a very sick, warped sense of Humor -my better half is a Yoga Teacher,
and I absolutely love Her facial expression changing from confusion to disgust when I say things like
"Where's My Watch dot Com" ....after getting the bill from the plumber.
