TEST SPACELINES, when you really need to get somewhere, and don't have a ship.

So, I was sitting on the couch, watching Raiders of the Lost Ark, with my son, and my wife, and the scene where Indie boards the sea plane, with the pilot standing outside greeting the passengers, comes on, and I said "they don't do that stuff anymore", then the scene from Firefly pops into my head, with all the ships at the pad, and the various crews standing around, trying to get people to fly with them.....and I thought (yes, I do this thinking thing, once in a while), "We,"meaning TEST, "could so totally do this!"

I know, the real passenger liners haven't been released yet, but, we can at least talk about it. I was thinking, maybe converting a Lancer into a private jet type setup, nice luxury seating on the inside, and a Cutlass into a glorified space bus, as many people inside as I can fit using a crowbar...

So, let me know what you think.....

We have ships that kinda pull this off now, at least for the rich crowd. 890 Jump and the Phoenix have very nice passenger accommodations. That said, we need (and I think there is planned) a bulk passenger transport.

A Freelancer MAX could easily hold a few dozen people in economy seating, likewise an Andromeda. Merchantmen... Merchantmans? may have some passenger space so they can move a little bit of human cargo as well (of the voluntary type). If they develop some kind of passenger module, we may even see the Hull series getting in on this act.

I am totally down for this.

I actually thought about that as well, it only made sense that not everyone will have long range transport and will need some way to get where they want to go. I think they said the Hulls could even be outfitted for public transportation. Not sure if it will be like the Mayflower or more like personal train cars. If it is the former then we better hope everyone has their shots.
