Attention All Twitch Streamers and Twitch stream Moderators.

TEST gaming Discord now has a Global Ban List channel.
This channel is for posting users that should be banned globally on all TEST streams.
Details on how to format a ban are listed in channel.

so the silence detractors list?
Sigh ...
No we or shall I say moderators do not silence detractors.

People get banned on Twitch streams for all kinds of reasons.
If people come to a Twitch stream to be disruptive, they should expect to get handled.
The streamer and there moderators will determine what is and is not acceptable.

These are examples only:
Trolling
Spamming Chat
Inappropriate Chat
Inappropriate Name
Inappropriate Behavior
Inappropriate Language
Posting Spoilers
Harrasing Streamer
Stream Sniping
Ignoring Streamer/Moderator
Racist or Hate Speach
Gender Harassment
Pornography
Virus Linking

but like shouldint that be on a stream by stream basis? like if someone greifs in a chat then yea that guy can ban him and that's fine. but having people automatically ban anyone on that list sounds like, cultish.

Ultimately up to the streamers, but I agree it's probably a good idea to have a repository of shit-posters just griefing in channels so that mods don't have to waste their time with people who have a history of shit-posting in other people's channels.

No streamer is required to use this list and is only provided as a repository for shall we say the bigger offenders.
People that hit multiple streams with the same behavioral issues or are perceived as problem.

I don't think Nightrider is talking about people who come in and troll a little then get bored and leave. He's talking about people who shit-post links to porn, or other things against ToS. Recently we've seen people come into streams with 3 other people accompanying them, all spamming the same messages and being twats.

i mean but like if someone does that, gets banned by multiple streamers in their chats. then they might learn their lesson and cease doing that in future streams. but if someone does it a few times and is banned by the entirety of test it doesint seem all that right to me. I guess it just seems too similar to the block bots and lists of twitter and other sites where people carpet block people who are reported by others to have what are essentially harmful opinions. I guess it's not quite the same and streamers are able to choose whether or not they subscribe to the ban list. But it personally seems a little like a slippery slope.

If these people are shit posting stuff that is against Twitch TOS or the streamers own sense of community
and that gets them banned ... honestly that's on the user and there own actions in a stream chat.
People really need to take responsibility for there own actions.

Streamers have enough going on while they stream and don't generally have the time to deal with these issues.
Moderators do what needs to be done to protect streamers and the streamers community from this tripe.
None of this is mandatory for any TEST Squadron streamer, it's more for having it available for them to use if they choose.

As someone potentially looking at streaming, I appreciate this being a resource.

Though I will admit, I expected this to be a ban list of "this beer is crap, do not drink this beer."

As Nightrider has said, it is for the streamers to decide how they wish their channels and the channel mods to use the list, but if nothing else it would provide a useful watch list so that the mods can be alert for any issues should these people appear.
