I kind of pictured a reverse-explosion, which implies there was a forewards explosion that came before, hence the need for a reverse-explosion sound in my subconscious. At least, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Awesome guys - and yes everyone is free to use this of course (everyone I post design-wise is open for the squadron!). I like the sound design, seems like it could be refined a little bit (maybe not necessarily a bam at the end but it does feel like there could be a louder clank when all the pieces lock?).
