I'm theoretically interested in this side of things as well, though it's enough like my real-world activities that I may just want to shoot things in SC. Playing a hard-scrapping free trader trying to make scratch in a volatile marketplace is definitely something I'm planning on doing, but being a hardcore industrialist may not be where it's at for me. I could certainly be a cog in that machine, though, if it fit within an rp conceptual framework.

I'm fairly certain I've seen others expressing an interest in Industry, though I wouldn't expect they have your experience. Thanks for volunteering your services in this capacity, Daiten Baou.

I don't expect anyone to be hardcore industry. But... I can centralize and coordinate resources so those who want to try, can do so, and still make an impact in TEST Business. For those who fight... Escorts and guards will be needed, both in our own operations and hired contract. Somebody's gotta do the paperwork... likely me. ;)

As I said I have ideas and several adaptable models as to how I could run it.

On topic, though -- I think that this is still the latest official word on the economy. To my disappointment, CR seems to building the system specifically to avoid massive-scale market manipulation, though I imagine that there's plenty of room to *ahrm* create arbitrage opportunities on a local or regional scale.
I think the same, but more from the inverse perspective. He wants to keep the economy running 'out in space, not on paper'.

Since players will only make up a minority proportion of the economy (in contrast to NPCs), so will the supplies for the planets and factories. They won't be waiting for an individual player shipment of supplies. Player factories will probably reply on NPC just as much as players if not more since they will always be operating when people are off line.

You may not be able to manipulate it at a universe level, but potentially at a system level even without having to PvP most of the time for it.

Well you're the head honcho of these misfits. I'm just a peon in an Aurora LN!
I too have an Aurora LN which will get a lot of use before I dare use the Constellation!

We really have no idea of how the game mechanics will work, but making plans and preparing is what we are here to do!

So far, from the members who have signed up here and the communications I have had with them, it is apparent that we have an abundance of extremely talented individuals!

Any help you can offer in bringing cohesion to our merry band of misfits is greatly appreciated!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure by that logic we're all peons ;)

Though to be fair, I'm pretty sure we actually are all pawns in Seung and Loteus' grand game plan.

And how do we know we can trust you? :p Next thing we all know, you're running some kind of pyramid scheme and B0RTing us out of the economy.

I kid, I kid. If you produce results, I'll let you make use of my multicrew ships. :)
