It may seem a bit random but I found a few old cassette tapes of my Grandfather on BBC Radio Wales back in 1991, talking about how he was responsible for choosing Carrier Pigeons during the war... I have now Digitized it.
Just wondering if anyone has similar stories about their family that they have discovered?

I think its great that you digitized this! My family has so many betamax and vhs tapes sitting in boxes that I need to get digitized.

I think that it's great that your grandfather helped feed the French Resistance by selecting which squab they would be dining on while including the secret cigar fetish love letters from Adolf Hitler to the Winston Churchill using a pseudonym. When faced with adversity, especially in dark times, laughter is priceless. I wonder if they ever figured out who'd been writing them. ;p I'm just playing, that's awesome that you have recordings that document how important of a role that your grandfather had during WWII @Scape .
