Twitch connection issues?!?

What is the deal with twitch?
For the past few days, I keep getting a popup that says "The internet connection was lost"
But the stream I am watching never gets interrupted.
Anyone else experiencing this?

A lot of streaming sites have been acting up the last few days, also about a month or so ago... coincidentally at the beginning of Christmas break and the end of Christmas break... You have millions of high school and college students sitting at home with nothing to do, so they're logging in and overwhelming servers.
