Starfarer is 195.00. Gemini is 240.00 if I recall correctly. I'll use one of my other LTI melts to get the Beerfarer LTI.

That's correct. Get the Gemini, it will come with Armor AND a point defense turret inplace of the refinery, just switch out to refineries once your back at base and safe, and refine when your 100% safe.

You'll get the base in Hangar I believe. And both variants will go on sale I think they said.

Honestly, with the armor, shield, and weapons upgrade I see no reason to get the base model.

Sounds like it may be a bit more of a lumbering pig, lol. Much less maneuverable. But other than that, I don't see any reason either.

You can upgrade the base to be almost along the same lines of the Gem and keep 25 percent cargo room that you lose. For 250$ i would just get the BMM or just upgrade to the Gem in game.
