Congratulations, mate! You can tell your grandkids that you made money on Bitcoin...unlike a lot of other people who won't be able to say that.

As our glorious leader pointed out, nobody is going to ring a bell to warn you when it tops out...the point is, get out with a profit, which you did.
Yes very true and I was so chuffed when I saw I doubled my money for free. Now though it's like "if only I held out" but like you say I got free money and don't have to risk a crash and losing my £60.

@Montoya, BRE-X! Seriously? You don't look old enough now, to have been anything more than like12 when Bre-x was a thing! And you made the only mention of Barrick Gold I've heard in a very long time.

But! You're I think your analysis is absolutely right. You could add Nortel stock too those illustrations too. Nortel is like the godfather of the tech bubble to me. Telephony manufacturer turned web application developer in 1998. In the next 4 years they built up stock value to 124 Canadian, riding on the tech bubble. Then in 7 days in August 2002 the stock fell to $0.47. The loudest POP! in Canadian history.

The secret to my youthful looks is moisturizing with Derek Smart tears.

You are correct, I forgot about NT!

Its a sad story, they were the kings of telecom. Too many bad investments, buying overpriced crap caught up to them.

Great Video Boss Montoya.

One thing I would add to Montoya telling you to cash your profits our regularly is - NEVER SELL IT ALL always keep some lying around, that way you really can take advantage of the possibility of bitcoin going to 1 million in the future. Even if you just keep 0.1 that's all the ships and beer you can drink in 5 years whilst your waiting for SQ42 to come out :D

That bitcoin ride last night was rediculas i think i made a bit profit thought following the wave. I would have made more if i had just stated at 180 usd in litecoin all the way up to the now 291 usd in litecoin. instead i was buying and selling to try to catch the highs and lows due to the volitility

I am hoping to go and buy just $10 of ripple and let it sit for a few months.

For me, this is 'free' money since it's from the Etherum and Litecoin investment I had going so even if I lose it all, I'm not hurt since its from capital gains I got from last one.

If you didn't invest when it was 11000 then it's too late.

It's never to late to invest i kept telling myself the same thing each time bitcoin hit a milestone.
We said the same thing during the dot com bubble.

Thing is, you don't know its a bubble until its over.

That's why i only invest money that i would survive if i lost. If you invest more than you have then you're already making a mistake. Have to take risks sometimes in your life or you will miss out on good stuff. As another good man said you win some you lose some. After that dip from last week i'm back where i started because i payed attention to the dip the whole day and bought back in at the right time just before the recovery i actually almost had a profit if i would have just had a little more faith.
