Here is my issue with comparing WoW to SC, first of all I don't remember the exact time that blizzard implemented pay options like transfers and cosmetic items it came later as the game progressed early on it was a subbed game period. Secondly by the time blizzard had implemented these options the player base was most likely already in millions, we have to remember this game at one time had more than 12 million accounts and still to this day has most likely has 3 million + but the real numbers are not official as I think blizzard stopped posting them. I don't think comparing the gorilla in the room to a stuffed teddy is fair at this junction, I still say go subs right off the bat, you can add the cosmetic stuff later it works blizzard proved it works if the game is worth it.
