Wanting a new monitor

I'm planning to convert to a dual monitor setup. I currently have an LG W2343 that will probably be relegated to the secondary monitor. I'm looking for a 27" monitor that won't break the bank and will last me at least another 4-5 years. I'm currently considering a BenQ RL2755HM, but seeing as I know comparatively little about monitors, I'd like to tap y'all's collective knowledge before making any purchases. Suggestions and advice are solicited!

I'd have to question what conditions need to be met to maintain 1ms input lag, but even if it was 10ms lag you probably wouldn't notice.

I don't know much about monitors offhand. I always have to do a lot of research when I'm in the market. I always make sure to check color vibrancy, brightness, and input lag. I then compare whatever I'm shopping for to the monitor I'm replacing so I'm at least making a sideways move from when it was new. Also, make sure that either the monitor is on an adjustable stand, or you're ready to purchase a VESA mount (and that it's compatible) otherwise you'll probably find yourself straining your neck and risking injury.

Go with any brand you want (my personal choice is LG since I never had problem with LG monitor and usually decent price). 5ms~10ms input lag isn't noticeable. 144hz on monitor is great but make sure your graphics card can handle it first (few can at ultra settings). And as Epileptic mentioned, always buy through Amazon (and not also 3rd party sellers on Amazon).

I've had a very good experience with the LG I've been using for the last... lotta years. I was kinda hoping to get a 2560x1440 monitor... if I'm sticking with 1920x1080, I'll just get a second 23" or 24" monitor. I'm running a pair of GTX 770 in SLI currently, so I'd be able to dedicate a video card to each monitor.

I use 3 benq e2200hd's, and im completely happy with them, no dead pixels after several years. no plans or need to replace

Been running with these three 27" AOC's (2757) and i'm very happy with them. Only using a single GTX 680ti...

You are buying it for the next 3-5 years you said.

And please, when buying a monitor (a device you will be staring at for years), make sure you don't skimp much.
Read user reviews. Not oppinions,... reviews. Reviews of those that have actually bought it and are using it.

I've been reading a lot of reviews. I've definitely had to revise my budget, getting a 27"-28" monitor of quality is gonna cost a bit. Adjustment options are not really necessary, because I'm planning to mount the monitors to adjustable arms on the back of my desk to ensure it can all be moved, but that does mean that I have to make sure the monitor supports mounting as well. The Acer goes on the list I'm looking at now. Hopefully I can save enough to get myself a nice Christmas present.

$200 for a 2560 x 1440 monitor? 8 ms response time is not too bad. TekSyndicate gives a favorable review. Power adapter compatibility issues seem easily fixed. That's... kinda hard to believe. What's the catch?
