I was listening to the Loremaker video on Tiber and noticed they made a point to say that there would be a surplus of military and alien craft wreckage in Vanduul territory. I'm thinking this will be the equivalent to raids in other Mmos with special rare items and ships waiting to be salvaged/repaired (possibly a Bengal). If it does become that I will likely try to put together a crew to farm it multiple times a week, especially early on. If this sounds interesting and you believe you think you would want to join up to discuss it let me know.

I have the bulk of the fleet that I believe would be needed:

Hammerhead
Reclaimer
Starfarer-G
Crucible

I'm thinking an additional:
Hammerhead
Idris

Would be needed to complete the fleet. I think the additional HH will be needed for fighting off the Vanduul and an Idris (correct me if I am wrong but I believe they can store medium ships in the hangar) for added protection and transporting repairable ships.

If a Bengal is found we will likely need a much larger fleet with Javelins and many crucibles to get it operational as fast as possible. If we could get our hands on a Bengal early it would be one heck of an advantage over other orgs and best of all piss them off as we parade it around early in game :p

Sorry, if this has already been discussed. I just saw the video and was thinking of the possibilities.

Depending on how damaged the Bengal is, I would guess that it would also take several Crucibles working around the clock, Multiple Hull-E's that are full of supplies, at least 3 Endeavors (1 Hope & 2 Olympic), a Carrack, tons of fighter cover support, etc.

What benefit does the Carrack and Endeavors bring to fixing up a Bengal? One possible solution for the Hulls could be more Reclaimers (assuming the processed materials can be transferred over to the Crucible to make repairs.)

My main concern for discussion is the base salvaging expedition for military grade parts and alien technology since we know they will be there (unless they change the lore)

the game engine will be smart enough to know the resources you have and adjust accordingly to make gameplay challenging but not impossible

the Vanduul will respond differently to solo players, small and large fleets

there will never be one best setup you can bring

With such a large operation going on to repair the Bengal, you will need scanning & surveillance of the area to give early warning to the defense of the group.

The Endeavor Hope can provide any needed medical needs that might pop up. Accidents do happen.

The multiple Endeavor Olympics would provide additional food supplies to extend the supplies of all units.

If you roll up into Vanduul territory with only a Reclaimer, I am pretty sure it will not end well for you. If what you said was true then there would never be a need for escorts or large fleets. The NPC's will react differently but it will be impossible to do many things solo and in some cases for small fleets.

Nice fleet
Thank you, I just picked out the ships I liked most and this system seems like the perfect one for using them all if I get people that want to man them :p

Outside of my Eclipse, Sabre, and Cutlass I went for ships that bring support and utility so whatever is needed I have a ship for it. Plan on specializing in Salvage/Repair/Escort

Really a way to early theorycrafting :)

Well i don't think there will be the chance to repair a bengal, especially on a regular basis, also it might be still a valuable target/scenerie for fights. Definitly not an easy on.
I would hope for special events, which might be discovered by scouting, and require a planed and individually set up fleet.

But now the really important question: How much beer will you bring with? And are you sure it will be enough?

I agree the Bengal theorycraft is far too early but based on the information we do have planning raids into the Tiber system for salvaging military components isn't too early.

Unless they change the lore surrounding the system or drop the salvage mechanics design, planning salvage raids into Vanduul territory is likely going to be the best way to get military components

Just remember even if we find and repair a Bengal the ship is always ingame and never despawns so we would need committed teams 24/7 to keep it safe.

As for pushing into and maintaining a presence in the Tiber system I do agree its something we should accomplish as soon as possible to keep our supply of military parts for all of the capital ships this corp has flight worthy.

a solo player won't be able to salvage with a Reclaimer but should be able to get in and out with a stealthy ship, taking small, high value components undetected

the reward will scale with the risk

I doubt finding enough hands to hold the UEE TESTicle will be an issue with this Org. We need 2, so we can have "The Left One" and "The Right One" also one should fly slightly lower than the other.

I'm unsure how we would be able to maintain a presence there. I'm assuming runs will need to be fast before large numbers of the Vanduul fleet make it to the areas.

Just need a steady military presence/ people willing to camp it, and a steady pipe of supplies to keep thst fleet good. Gotta some how make it worth it for everyone involved though. That's gping to be the tricky part of this game. How do we involve a lot of players, and spread the money gains evenly amongst everyone/make operations worth it for those with big ships. It will be very interesting to see how the game handles this.

The loot division is something I thought of as well, it is something that could cause issues if not done correctly. I would think something like a loot draft will be how I run my ships. For instance, if I ran my Reclaimer with 4 org mates and we recovered 12 pcs, have a 2 round draft. Where each person selects one item and then goes to the next person with the surplus goes to the ship for repairs so in this scenario each person gets 2 items of their choice and the 2 pcs not picked are sold for gas/repairs. If it is a large fleet however, this system would take awhile to do.
