The Brazilian neighbors continue to delight me with interesting new drinks!

Today I learned about Caipirinhas and drank more than I should have.

Its one shot cane spirits, 3 limes and 3 teaspoons sugar, served over ice.

AMAZING!

According to the host, I needed to drink beer between the Caipirinhas, so I had to respect his wishes.

The brown bottle is cane spirits.

Sugar cane being very common Brazil means you get this stuff really cheap over there.

The bottle in my hand is stuff from the brown bottle put into a barrel with corn for about a year. Its so smooth and sweet, I forgot what it was called but that stuff was amazing!

I love Caipirinhas!

I haven't been feeling well, so I've been taking it easy. Instead of my usual tequila and limeade, or gin and lemonade, or white russians, or rum and Pepsi... today I just had some Angry Orchard cider.

Home made Scuppernong Wine that's been curing in a shower in the back which is unused, had it sitting in a big 5 gallon water bottle for a month. Just filtered it for the first time last night, was made without the hulls and my god is it sweet and delicious!

Three jugs came out, tossed the tails which was at least a jug like the one on the right. Needs to settle off so we can filter it again :)

Recently got really into cocktails and upgraded my bar so a combination of the above.
More specifically 2 glasses of Green Skittle (Vodka, Taboo, WKD Blue, Orange Juice & Sprite), One glass of Benjino Bender (The ingredients are secret but it has 5 shots in it) and one Vodka Martini.

I'm going out for dinner though so lets see how that goes...
