Hey folks!
Will be the first occurence of a sale for me, so i was digging up some infos here and there. Can someone confirm or improve the following:
- LTI "tokens" are cheap ships with LTI on it, which can be upgraded through the hangar matrix into another available ship
-- available ships get expanded/introduced by the sales for a short amount of time
--- some sales come with LTI, it's not known which ones beforehand
--- the ships on sale are sequenced from day to day, so we need to catch the one we want and be aware?
--- all sales will get a massive stretch in ensurance months (4 years speculated?)
- people use their LTI tokens to upgrade an "on sale" ship without LTI to one with LTI (does not work with "car-like" vehicles into space ships)
- there might be starter packs on sale for a reduced price? (Aurora madness)
So basically, you hope for a past pledge ship to be on sale and then use your LTI token to upgrade into that ship? This means, you don't directly buy the ship, but use the upgrade option from your hangar to transform into it.
Yea dawg, I know most of this:
-You're completely correct on LTI tokens.
--Yes, sales are when ships that are not available year-round in the store are made available for purchase.
---Usually LTI is only offered on "concept sales", meaning when a ship is first publicly announced and made available for purchase.
---Previous large sales have had "themed days" where different ships were made available, but there's no guarantee how CIG will conduct the upcoming sale until they announce it.
---Often major sales have longer-than-standard insurance lengths, but again, there's no guarantee until CIG says so.
-Yes, you're completely correct on how LTI tokens are used to upgrade ships, and on how purely ground-based vehicles are unable to be upgraded into spaceships.
-Reduced price starter packs have been offered during previous major sales, so it's a definite possibility, but again there's no guarantee until CIG says so.
And yes, most people use major sales to upgrade their LTI tokens into limited ships, instead of buying those ships directly.
