I'm not spotting it so it looks like a first glance at the Kr'Thak to me. IIUC, this is a rename for the original "Krell" who were not slated for early gameplay, and had been at war with the X'ian for centuries? Could they be getting into game?

If this is true, it would certainly imply a lot more work happening behind the scenes on general universe development than I had guessed. The Krell/Kr'Thak storyline seemed to me pregnant with wild exploration possibilities since no one goes there, because this incites X'ian outrage. Kr'Thak space ought to be the kind of place you'd like to sneak a Polaris exploration fleet into, in hopes of fortune and glory, and forbidden technology.

That, I believe, is Vanduul. CIG showed that head side by side with Andy Serkis set up with Face Acting Rig.

Could be. Is very different from the early Vanduul art. In particular the face is much wider at top and narrower at bottom, and the teeth are longer and pointier, but could be the Vanduul. Also looks like the face is softer--doesn't have the shell-like appearance and it has nostrils and lips, not in any of the previous art I'm aware of.

So far as I know it's just the unreal demo with Andy serkis. I don't believe it's SC related at all.


But I have been mistaken before. Once. But I buried the body. So I've never been mistaken. ;)
