well just start from... in Finland one cant have better weapon than BB gun, to have go physics analyse test and local police evaluation. so its kinda hard to get any better weapons legally... ofc you can buy dragunofs, AKs and etc from russian black market ;)
I love firearms... For work or play. But not everyone can own one.... The benefit for the ones who can't own one? The other normally can't either.... Just find or have something that can provide security for your area. Would never say go all black market... But also look at other options such as a bow or some areas a black powder
Loop hole. If nothing is available make sure you look at defense over offense....

Where I am at you need a good horse or two, your saddle, pack saddle, set panniers loaded with your gear (tents, etc.), your Winchester (& AR if you have one), a Colt (or two/three), ammo, and lots of booze (which do not use with the firearms). Then head for the high country.
Bugging out on foot is for the birds.

There is a school of thought that you need at least 3 bags: bug out, get home, and survival.

I personally only have 1 and it's not even packed (because the threat is generally low where I'm at), but it has the following:

-lighter fuel
-water bottle
-basic medical (gauze, quick clot, bandages, rubbing alcohol, etc)
-bandanas
-mylar blanket
-matches
-gloves
-clothes
-food bars
-documents
-limited cash

I am lacking a good knife which is a big thing that I still need. Firearms are a secondary concern for me because my bag is about speed/movement instead of stand and fight. That's one of the biggest things people tend to think it's about, standing and fighting with your fully kitted AR and plate carriers. My whole point of a BOB is to get out of the area and be able to survive in worst conditions, ie no scavenging options. I also need to get a metal bottle to boil water or pack out a proper mess kit (which I don't have anymore.)

I don't keep mine packed because if needed I can grab most everything and go in five minutes, though it's limited in range/days.

Here in Canada we don't tend to work about those kinds of things, although I reckon a survival bag is for those instances that you wouldn't tend to worry about.
I honestly don't have a bag packed, although having a family and whatnot, I probably should. What I do have is all the camping and outdoors kit that we use every summer. Shit hits the fan, that stuff goes in the car, and away we go.

I started a get home bag but never finished it. The wife thinks I'm crazy. She walks in one night and I have a shopping cart full of stuff on Amazon and google maps up planning how to get home without going over the highway. My problem is I have to follow a lake/river and go through a lot of neighborhoods.

So I am building my bag too. I got my exit PSCE (Primary, Secondary, Contingency, Emergence) I have a second stash in my trunk, these are things that are not top priority, but if I am able I will grab them (also have extras/redundancies IE: more MRE's and ammo). in my main set I have....
my M1A and FNX-45 with 200 and 100 rounds.
Bod
y armor
15 days of Emergency Food Rations
Lock Pick set
E-Tool, Hatchet, and saw
Fire starter
water filter straw
1 man tent
Tarp/rain catcher
Complete first aid kit
Clothing
duck tape
550 cord
Water pack
Solar powered phone charger
crank radio
As you may have guessed this kit is set up for woodland, as my primary exit is out of the city and into the woods. (so I can hunt, and less people)
In my car I have.....
More cloths
48 extra MRE's
Climbing gear
300 .308 and 100 .45 ammo
a shit ton of duck tape
My primary gear is less weight then what I had when in weapons squad. (240L and a Javelin tube) I have made up maps and gave them to friends and family in the area so we can meet up. (they all think I am crazy ;D)
