Where in the Verse will your hanger be?

So, I know a lot of this is still being worked on, and we don't know if we will be able to choose where your hanger is located. But If you could, where would it be? Me, I kinda like where I'm at here on Earth. Its a small town, just in between a major city and nowhere. If I need stuff that's hard to find, the city is right there, if I need to disappear, I'm halfway there without doing anything. So, in the verse, I would shoot for the same kind of location, close enough to a major system to be useful and yet as close enough to nowhere to allow for a quick bug out.

I haven't planned too in-depth on where I want to be, but like you, I want to be in a borderland region. Not so far from civilization that I can't go and get what's necessary, and I won't have to fight tooth-and-nail everyday to protect what's mine, but far enough out that the bureaucracy and congestion that it doesn't get too complicated. Of course, I may spread my ships over multiple worlds; for instance, my Phoenix, Aurora LX, Hull B, along with other luxury craft, bulk cargo haulers, and starliners, will probably reside closer to civilization. My DUR and my Carrack, on the other hand, will need to be stationed out on the frontier, where everything is new and undiscovered.

I plan to be wherever the racing scene is. Currently in Arena Commander, all racing is done within Old Vanderval, however from the lore we can expect there to be multiple raceways, courses and cups scattered throughout the 'verse so I'll probably spend more of my time within the central UEE systems, practicing and dogfighting in Arena Commander and follow the circuit of live races and specific events if they happen to be scheduled (which I dearly hope) as well as community sponsored circuits both live and AC.

I'll probably ferry my racer around as cargo through escorted transport services or if I'm feeling daring or the trip short enough fly her to and fro by herself or with Eiyron and Shive.

We are talkin about HOME. Hmm, home is where the hanger is, or is it where the ship you are on is, or is it where your beer is? So the question is "Where does TEST call home?" Where are "WE" going to be? I'm going to be where I at. I plan on being where TEST is at, so that means I'm going to be inside a sun somewhere, or outside a sun, or shmattered on a sun, or spread out on a sun... or I could be having a drink in my hanger somewhere talkin about the Vogons, or Klingons, or Cylons I've chalked up. All bad guy alien races end in "ons" So, that means that the alien races in SC are all good, Vanduul, not an ons; must be good, Xi'An, not and ons: must be good, Banu, not an ons: must be good. So that means I'm drinking a lot of beer, with a lot of alien types, cuss they are all good, at home, with my orgies. lol, I said orgies.

if you have multiple interests in-game you are going to want a character for each so you don't lose time traveling around.

I know I will want to do dogfighting, trading, and fleet actions with fellow Testes. I doubt those activities will all be based at the same location

I think once PU Alpha hits, people will tend to float to where they feel most comfortable. UEE "hisec", fringe "losec", lawless "nulsec", Vanduul/Banu/Xi'an space etc etc. I'll decide then, but if I HAD to pick, i'd probably choose on the fringe of UEE space and lawless space. Easy to find stuff to do, but also close enough that if I get bored I can go roam around UEE space.

I do not plan on being at my hanger often but I would like a place on the outskirts preferably in an asteroid field of some sort. Near enough to conduct whatever business I need to but far enough out that I can do what I want without bother. My hanger will most likely be my storage facility and place for my cruiser (around the system ship).

Reading through the lore of the various planets and systems in drawn to Helios with it's amazing "water-world" landscape. Massive waves that could be utilized in a "fly the barrel" love of surfing and starship flying or an amazing backdrop of a epic race. Gives me an exotic Tahiatian/Costa Rican feel... To lazy to race than give me a fruity rum drink and I'll watch the 100+ foot waves crash on shore...



So if I have to pick one main base.... Helios. But like most others I'll probably stay toward the action... Be it major space lanes, combat areas, or exploring with Helios as my last port of call...

Still a long way out and I'm not sure how much a task it will be to maintain two characters but I'm planning on starting out having two brothers on the opposite end of the spectrum. One guy I'll go for the hero of SQ42 while the other will probably try and get a discharge. The "good guy" will probably be somewhere in the middle of UEE space while the other in the outskirts probably near a lot of you guys. We'll see how it goes. I'll probably start out on the nicer guy and if that doesn't work out switch to the other. The more pirate like guy will probably be more involved with drunken activities if the other guy turns out to be a good money maker. Both will still be in Test.
