You have a point there, though I do want to say (what you already know) that the stock Constellation is going to be pretty much a "Renaissance" ship: Good in many areas--well rounded--but not really excellent at any two things at one time.
Most likely true, but there are many niche vessels too. It's unlikely anyone is going to be cargo hauling in an Herald, or racing in Gladiator. Tangent, I would love to see a heavyweight racing circuit, nothing but 25k kg and up ships. Gladiators, Cutlasses, Freelancers, the crashes would be spectacular!
