why I don't want to build a gaming machine

I want to sit this behind a gaming chair, with overhead arching supports for three ultra-widescreen monitors. My question right now is, can I run about 10' of cabling to get to each monitor, or is there a distance limits set by some requirement I'm not familiar with.

It depends on the resolutions you want to push. 3 meters is he listed spec on display port but that is pushing 4k. It is unlikely you will push 4k on each display so it should work

I run this on a single 1080GTX. It depends on what you are trying to do. If you want to span games across all screens you can do it if they have window mode and allow it. some games default to certain aspect ratios and lop the top or bottom off what it is displaying. Personally I never SLI, it just isnt a good return on investment. A single better GPU is almost always better than two lesser SLI's GPU's.
