Windows 10?

Is anyone else running the Tech preview? I like what they have done especially the start menu - still a little more customization is prudent though.. I would like to be able to use the pictures for icons a lot like Steam uses in the library.. I want custom blocks. everything else appears to work except my online email, when I click on an email it kicks me back to the main login page.. other that that its working well... firefox does not have that effect in win10

Select WIndows 8.1 for the profile for it to work, if it still does not make sure you disable the NX / Execute Bit option in your BIOS/EFI firmware.

They are saying that the changes will be similar to the stability and performance increases from 7 to 8.1 were. There was a huge increase in overall performance of course and if what they say is true it will mean good things. I'll wait and see before I buy.

Sounds promising. I'm running 8.1 Pro right now and save for the damn Metro integration, I actually like it quite a bit.

running it in a VM at work. start menu is a good compromise between old and new. i like it so far. i guess i will upgrade to 10 when it's out.

i'm also looking out for 10... seems better then 8 so far, and it seems to be a tradition for me to skip a window version everytime. so it's a natural feel for me to jump from 7 to 10. :)

It is but some applications, mostly virtual machine players, use memory that's otherwise not available with NX enabled. It should work with it enabled but if it doesn't disabling it is a good option as well.

Win8 dump you back into that metro crap where as 10 is dynamic as far as the device you are using - on a table it uses a mobile setup - plug in a keyboard it goes into pc mode - See this Montoya >>>
