So, I just spent eh... what was it? 8$? to get the Wing Commander saga from Good old Games (gog.com) (not the free fan-made game, that's been linked a LOT on /r/StarCitizen)
I believe the sale has ended by now, but that's besides the point.
I installed Wing Commander 1 & 2, and booted up Wing Commander.
I. HAVE. NO. IDEA. WHAT. I. AM. DOING.
I don't know the controls... I feel the ship just keeps flying forward and mouse basically changes your heading, and I kinda get how the radar works. I die too easily, I can't seem to hit squat, the enemy ships are too fast, I get missile lock but HOW DO I FIRE IT!?
and the low resolution is making my head spin...
(I'm sorry, I have to confess I have never played any Chris Roberts games... I've heard about them, a lot, but never actually played it myself... so I thought this would be a good place to start...)
but for something made in 1990, it's ... amazing!
