Probably going to go with the one above. I just need it to run intel and have onboard wifi, a place to stick some RAM and a GPU and i'm good. Cheap is better :D

You'll need to know which model before you can pick a motherboard - look it up in Windows system info or with a software like CPU-Z/MSi Afterburner.

Last I checked, Newegg themselves is fine, the issue is the dodgy third party vendors. I buy most of my stuff from them.

I've used newegg for years, and very recently at that. I've never had any problems with them. My only beef was they recently started charging state sales tax, so now I might as well use Amazon, same price, but get it faster as a Prime member.

They're all rolling off the same assembly line in a factory somewhere in China. The assembly line on the left is probably the MSI one, the assembly line on the right is probably the Asus one. And all the quality control rejects from them both probably get labeled "Ford" lol

Both the motherboard you linked and the Z370, only support 8th and 9th gen Intel processors. First 8th gen processors came out in late 2017. You should use CPUid that Glockjs linked, in order to check which chipset you need.

Edit: Or just type dxdiag in the windows search bar and run it, to get system information. Including the processor model.
