Obviously this far out from release nothing is set in stone, but as I'm real new to this game I'm trying to get a feel for what people are planning to do on release. I'm still on the fence but I'm thinking about piloting a Freelancer and doing some space exploration and cargo transport runs. I'm very prone to changing my mind though.

What do you plan on flying and what you plan on doing?

I wouldn't mind gunning someones ship as long as the pilot is really good or the other way around.

Looking forward to doing some exploring and pvping myself, but I'd like to be as prepared as I can for everything in between.

Need to gauge where my skills are at during dogfighting before I will know for sure. In the end ADD will guide me.

Unless alpha/beta takes care of this urge, I'm planning on playing Squadron 42 before entering the 'verse, which concerns me slightly about getting late to the bigger game. We'll see.

I've got a Super Hornet for escort duty. I might get into military action, or I may just prefer to run PVE bounties and escort/protection. It'll depend on how good of a pilot I am, relatively speaking.

I'm also interested in something related to exploration/trade and might eventually buy a Freelancer. For now I have a 315p that I plan on wandering around in, though I might opt to turn it into a stealth-and-speed bucket and do blockade running or courier missions with it.

My interest is in coordinated actions with similarly minded folks, be that 501 actions or something more broad. My reality, though, is that I don't know that I'm gonna have that kind of time to dedicate to things, so I may default into things that I can do to contribute with odd and infrequent play hours.

Edit: It might be interesting early on for those of us with LTI to take our unmodified base ships and dogfight each other to both develop and test our skills. It'd be useful to know how we rank with each other in terms of dogfighting skill, as well as who's got a mind for squadron-level tactics.

Nice clear goals :D

Personally I think im gonna skip Sq 42 in the short term to explore the universe and scout out a profitable system home for TEST pilots.

Interesting. Would that be two separate characters, or do you think you'll be able to run Squadron 42 after entering the larger 'verse? If the latter, I might consider that as well (especially if we've been able to do parts of it in beta).
