Well calling it a day, only one more and the weekend is here....wwwwoooooohhhhhhooooooo! Is all I look forward too, if I didn't need the money, I certainly wouldn't be doing my job! Cant understand how people work all their lifes to retire and then drop dead because their life was work. Crazy talk, I'd retire now happily if I could! Maybe need to show abit of leg and score me a millionaire? Think thats how you ladies do it? LOL

Night all!

@Blind Owl any (good) news about the fires in Canada?
"As of Wednesday, the Fort McMurray wildfire was 229,000 hectares, consistent with the size a day earlier, according to a government advisory. Seven-hundred firefighters are working on the blaze, burning about 25 to 30 kilometres from the Saskatchewan border."

The city is still under mandatory evacuation notice, but the fire has moved away from the city. The fire is still out of control.

Hi Owl :)
Thats called "good and bad news", isn't it? When the fires are moving away from the city, the chance of hurting or even killing people should be minimized, I think?
How are you, all good at home? Are you having some days off after the month in the field?

Yes, I'm safe at home. Heading back out in a week, for another month.

The threat to life should be minimal at this point. Some of these people lost everything though. I can't even imagine.

Wow, again? A month? Is that a regular action for you in Canada? I thought you soldiers are staying and train more often within the...whats it called? Casern? Barracks?
Spring/early summer is high time for exercises for us. We spend a couple months away training on a brigade level, so we're constantly prepared if called upon. The rest of the year is spent primarily in garrison, going on training courses and doing in house training.

Yeah, pitty :( But thats how it is in an international community :D

Morning all! Hope you are all fine. Over here in Germany its nearly 9 a.m., the sun is shining - the last day, before the rain comes back. Which is okay after two weeks of summer-like 25°C. Only a little bit sad that the weather changes on our long "Pfingst"-Weekend (Whitsunday or what is it called?). Monday = bank holiday, yay :D Tuesday I'll have one day off for a "doctors appointment" at our local medical university. Further examinations will be done regarding my fading hearing capability; curious if they'll be able to find anything.

Well, have a nice day today - feel free to order any coffee ;)
Cheers
Sam

@CrudeSasquatch long not read ya - how are you? How was your week - and whats the beer status? :D
Oh BOY! FOR some reason my "Watched Threads" never showed updates to this thread.

My Beer situation is DIRE! @Blind Owl came home, and we had a bit of a fun shenanigans. Now he's getting ready to ship out again. So far I'm still hunting for a job. There's about 200 Thousand Canadians out of work right now in my field of expertise, so I have been applying at everything from Water Treatment Plants to Landscaping to Forklift Warehouse guy... and even at the Army!

I am very sorry to hear about the people we all have lost the last week. My condolence to @BUTUZ and @Sam K Macer . I like to think that Grandpa and the young man are having a pint on a beach, having just spent a nice day sipping caffeine, and due to time not really existing there, they've already got copies of Star Citizen and are talking strategies for capping Vanduul Kingships.

You're going to the doctor for a hearing check? I totally cheated on my hearing exam. I figured out the timing sequence and just kept clicking even when I couldn't hear anything. Apparently I have hearing better than dogs or cats.

I was thinking about your money. Have you tried Rental Credit? Just fly in public matches... you don't need to win a Vanduul Swarm, or even a Race, or even a Battle Royal. There's credits for PARTICIPATION! (My favourite kind of credit!)
Then rent a new spaceship? Test flight before you buy?
I know, it's ridiculous! If you've already test flown it, then it isn't bright shiney and new!

On the top right corner is a button where you can watch/unwatch threads.

Ah crap, sorry to hear that. Whats your profession/field of expertise, if I may ask..?

Haha :D:D Well, this isn't about a common hearing check. Since two years, I'm constantly loosing my ability to hear on one side. It took awhile and a couple o' tests to recognize this "fading". But there it is - and no doc has a clue what it is. in January I was at the medical university for the first time - and they had no clue. Now I'm invited for some further examinations; I don't really think that they will find anything to stop this process. But how is the saying? "Hope dies last" or the like? Still I am hoping that at least the process can be stopped. That would be awsome instead of being completely deaf on one side. But "But No#02": as long as this is my only problem I've got no real problems ;) Family is healthy, job is good, money is on the plus level on the banking account AND there is enough time for a little chit-chat on testsquadron.com - ergo everything's BEST :D

Hm, never tried racing. Will do that, thanks for the hint :)
