Congrats @Lienna !

I haven't been in the coffee bar in days! It's been so busy around here. I need a vacation. I'm going on vacation next week, so now I'm super busy trying to get everything done before vacation, which is making me not want to go on vacation!

I'm dragging today. Just had a hard time getting up, and have no motivation. Which isn't good, because I'm behind at work due to the holiday and having jury duty yesterday morning. I could use a couple shots of espresso mixed with some milk.

A village in Germany, where three small streams (in Germany we call it "Bach") are running through. These streams have destroyed the village in one night:

Forces of nature unleashed - madness prevails.
The south of Germany currently seems to drown :(

Congratz also from my side @Lienna ! Hopefully everything goes alright when moving in :)

@MzHartz : something special planned within your vacation? Travel to the Seychelles or the like? ;)
And a brownie too! Thanks!

It's storming here now. Lots of thunder. It's relaxing, I needed a good storm. But not like those people in south Germany. You're not close to there, are you Sam?

We're going to Las Vegas. I'm not looking forward to it. Funds are a little tight right now, but I can't cancel it. Maybe I can spend a lot of time reading next to the hotel pool...

Un...
Is the name UnWetter Newz a joke name?
Hm, there is no englisch word for "Unwetter". Wetter = weather in general, which has nothing to do if it is good or bad, sunny or rainy. But the syllable "un" which is understandable like "anti" makes this general word "weather" to a mean badass (thunder)storm. So the "UnWetterNetzwerk" could be basicaly translated as storm weather network; a game with words and syllables.

Here in Germany, every year the "Unwort des Jahres" is picked (or elected, I don't know the process how its chosen) which is the "Anti-word of the year". In 2014 the "Unwort" of the year was "Lügenpresse" ("press of lies" or "lying press"). I'm wondering if good ol' Donald has made vacation in Germany 2014 :D ;)

@MzHartz No, lucky me, we are living in the north of Germany. All the bad weathers and storms are happening currently in the south of Germany. I've not watched the news yet but even the pics in the Internet let suspect the worst.

Morning all!

http://www.freshmorningquotes.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/good-morning-coffee-with-rose-images.jpg

Just back from the doc, annual standard medical examination. Everythings fine, only the blood pressure is a little low (100/70). :)
Weather has changed here today, its cloudy and rainy. But I like it better that these 28°C muggy-hotly temperatures.
PTU bores me in the meantime. Instead, yesterday we went into the cinema and watched "X-Men: Apocalypse". Love it, huge emotional momentum, fantastic CGI, superb cast, fabulous music score(!!) and on top an exciting orchestration of everything. All that having on the plus side on the film, the marginal story finally carried no weight. Popcorn cinema at its best - strongly recommended!
Tuesday, had I mentioned that?, I've watched "LotR - The two towers" (the 12trillionth time or the like).. THAT is EPIC movie orchestration. Every second scene gives me goose bumps - in opposite to this Hobbit-crap. Shame on you, Pete Jackson.
And the evening today (which is in about 9 hours *sigh* :( :D)? I will probably start re-playing Witcher 3, since "Blood and Wine" has released has receives top scores! ...or I'm watching LotR Return of the King, hm....:)

Have a fabulous day!:)

I have a Brekkie to go to, a monthly gathering of mostly vegetarian aging hippies from around the world. I am usually the only male there but I go to allow my wife to be fashionable and enjoy the always interesting, usually tasty and sometimes very odd food we try to surprise each other with.

In the past we have made apricot chimichangas (Momma's recipe - something like this),

a goatcheese gingersnap-crusted cheesecake

and rice crackers with the amazing (and no longer available) chocolate cheddar cheese from England. The only cheese that ever made me moan in ecstasy.

Today Vibrant is making a simple, but yummy bread pudding with some artisan sourdough, vanilla (from beans we have soaking in dark rum - which means it's vanilla flavored rum... ), raisins, allspice, coconut sugar, milk, butter and eggs.

So I won't be in the Verse, but I will be happy none-the-less :-)

Well...good morning everybody :D

Its before 8 a.m., and I am awake since 3 o'clock. Got up at 03:30 a.m., surfed a little bit while downloading Witcher 3 again - old modded version didn't start anymore - found out that most old mods also don't work anymore, went to bed, got up after 5 minutes and went to the office. Arrived at 05:45, worked for half an hour, went to the gym; now I'm back in the office, wondering what I'm doing here. No colleague has arrived yet. Which means: good time for testsquadron chit-chat and bring a little bit trouble into the forum :D
See ya!

Gingersnaps was an interesting movie, very subtle in it's use of werewolves to represent the menstrual cycle! Okay so it was about as subtle as blunt trauma to the head, but hey, still wasn't a bad film.

It's 7:20 AM, my exchange of contracts for my house didn't go through yesterday so now we have to do the dance again today, and then every day until everyone in the chain is ready. I handed in my notice at work yesterday and am trying to ignore the existential dread of turning 30 next month and almost certainly being unemployed while having an actual, real mortgage to pay off!

Time to start living thrifty or else the internet spaceships might be on the chopping block!

Yeah, same here *sigh* Morning Lienna, btw.
Our eleven years old car is broke down, so we decided to buy a new used car. Nevertheless that its a good car and the monthly payment rate is quite o.K. - the 1.000 EUR prepayment definitely hurt! (plus the 500 EUR repair costs before). And my hearing aid broke down also; the repair was for free, but I had to buy a drying device for 100 bucks. All that together is not my understanding of "fun" ... ;)
