Exactly this. A wee buy o' 'justified' piracy, which we can paint with a pretty brush under the name 'privateering'.

I honestly see no point in attacking just anyone who happens to end up in my crosshairs. I'd rather have a reason for taking a ship or a cargo. Taking an enemy orgs ships or cargo, I'd love that dynamic. Think it'd be fun as hell.

Anyway just saying, if you curse over the belted systems on the galaxy map, you get descriptions of them, and the place I was describing is a good home for anyone who wants adventure. Even if all you want to do is fly escorts, there is good mining and transport work there. Thing is, it is right where that pair of Vanduul Void Bombers attacked and killed everyone just a few months ago, so it is not safe.

Sounds about perfect, actually. I'll have to put in some research here eventually. When RL permits.
