Not much info. One report is that over 30 were killed and I00 injured. Another said more than 50 killed. One says whomever was driving got out of the truck and opened fire with a gun of some sort but did not say what. It will be a few hours before an official press release but it is way, way terrible whenever it is. Reports are the guy drove a long way through many bodies, certainly intentional. It's just terrible.

prayers and thoughts to all affected by yet another shocking incident. Horrific that these events are becoming more of a monthly occurrence now, and i hope that we can remember those killed and look forward to a world without a fear of terror.

Heard this on the radio thismorning, best wishes to all the Frenchies, including my nephew in France. My thoughts are with all TEST members there and especially to all the family and friends directly affected. I pray for the day all this insanity stops!

It seems to me that ISIL is picking on the little guys an awful lot lately. they need to remember that you can only kick the little guy so far then they start kicking back. people need to remember that France and turkey have a lot of bloodshed in their past. they are 2 countries that I personally wouldn't want to tick off. That said my heart and prayers go out to the people of France.

It's probably worth noting this guy picked on France because he lived there. If he lived in the UK or USA he would have killed Brits or Americans. He' just a crazy guy and even were he not Islamic, odds are he would have found another fixation for his rage and killed in the name of whatever.

I am not defending Islam. I am just saying, this guy was bat-shit crazy and we should not blame Islam for this. Islam can have plenty of blame for putting together 30k+ men in ISIS and directing them to rape, pillage and murder, but ISIS is not primarily responsible for this guy's acts. He was responsible. Islam is responsible for teaching he would be rewarded for his mass murders with a future in Heaven with 70 virgin sex slaves, when in fact he has just found himself in Hell.

actually, its not Islam, its radical Islam. religions has to evolve in order to survive, even traditional Islam has evolved to accommodate progress. Every religion has its zealots, even Christianity. I have nothing against Islam, I have a lot of hate against radical Islam. What's really funny is if you look up the real definition of jihad. Radical Islamists don't even follow the rules of jihad, therefore making it a crime in the eyes of god in itself. As for ISIL, well they just need eradicated. They have shown that they have no friends in the world and are striking at anybody they can. Unfortunately for this I feel the free world isn't up to the task of what its going to take to really rid the world of ISIL filth.

No offense Mike, but you don't know what you're writing about. Religions do not "evolve". This distinction in Islam between those who do as the Koran instructs and thus rape, pillage and murder in the name of their religion, and those who are more moderate, has existed for I4 centuries. Whatever scenario you have constructed in your mind to support your world view of religions is irrelevant. This has been happening with one religion and one religion alone, for I4 centuries, events like the Crusades notwithstanding. Point of fact: the Crusades happened as result of just this sort of indiscriminate killing of Christians in the Middle east.

In the event you feel the need to push some sort of secular humanism into the discussion I would remind you that even given I4 centuries of bloodshed in the name of Islam, the biggest murders in history are still Hitler with 50 million kills, Stalin with 70 million kills, and Mao Tse Tung with I20 million kills; all of whom were atheists. It is not religion that makes people crazy; it is crazy people who sometimes act in the name of religion.

I doubt isis actually did the attacks, but instead took credit. Because if people belive that they did it they will fear ISIS more and ISIS dont have to put effort into it.

And By the way, lets leave politics out of the forums, there is somewhere you can talk about it here
