Hey, all. Was just wondering how many out there have Reliant Tanas. I know that specifications and performance are always subject to change, but they look like something that can escort a convoy with great effect.
What drew me to it (along with the Star Wars B-Wing resemblence) is the interior of the rear compartment. Two up front and one in the rear station... one bad-ass ship.
So, I think that a squad of these, along sith a couple of heavy-hitters, could easily chase away almost any threat.
So, who wants to form the Wanna B's?

I'm serious, btw.

FWIW I think the Tana hardpoints on the site are outdated (surprise surprise). I think it has 2 S2 hardpoints, 2 S1 harpoints, and then twin S1 pylons? Not entirely sure.

But the Tana could be a beefy little baby with that nice firepower and that beefy S4 shield generator. But at the end of the day it's still a combat variant...of a starter ship. The Aurora LN is great too...until you compare it to a dedicated fighter.

I only wonder if the price (65 USD) would be better spent on an Avenger Titan + upgrades (since the Titan has what seems to be a roughly equal SCU cargo bay, the Tana trades some of the base Reliant for some combaty stuff), or spending a bit more and getting a Gladius, which should kick the teeth off of a Tana.

For me, I dont think that they will have the range to be a good escort. Now as for a small hauler or news van, I would say yes due to the low cost that one mite have after game launch. But this is all just theory crafting at this point and dont take my word for any thing.

What advantage does this have over any other ship of a similar size and focus?

Stronger shields and tough body, so like a hornet hull with sabre shields? Maybe the high yield powerplant means it's simply faster at charging shields and keeping the lasers firing?

Not too sure what to think about it but sounds like a promising little mosquito fighter with relentless stamina in a dogfight.
