The largest SC FB group banned me from just my application?

I recently purged my Facebook friend's list of negative un-supportive people I didn't know. I wanted to find supportive fellow Sci-fi fans and fellow nerds to add. With how amazing Star Citizen's community is I'd though I'd look to join a FB SC group. There's only one group that's over a few thousand members and that's (was?)

with 14,901 members.

EDIT: So by popular request I am starting a new Star Citizen Facebook group! Its called the Star Citizen Community! It is open to all!

It's a closed group and has a, in my opinion, a very unfriendly type of application for a SC group.
Here's what I filled out, the last part I was being very open in my response of why I wanted to join the FB group.
I wasn't going to digging for a password either, as that's ridiculous. My character doesn't do that shit. And I can RP with the best of them, I've on stage and on camera experience.

Well I didn't receive a response, days later (today) I checked... and discovered they blocked me from even seeing the page anymore. Off of one application.

"closed" group ---> red flags (if you can't handle the DS fan club, you shouldn't be managing a group)
banned from just and application ---> super red flag.. like who even does that?

Perhaps. You aren't losing anything from not being able to join. Seems like its not a good atmosphere to be around.

Suggestions and questions
Only ban spam bots imo? Only give timeouts to misbehaving citizens?
Get some CIG employees to be Admins?
ORG leaders might want to be Admins... instead why not allow them to be moderator's provided they don't abuse it?

I usually browse FB when I'm bored or on the toilet.. was a shitshow feed until I cleaned up my FB friends list. That and twitter is pretty cool when toilet browsing.. i mean.. when browsing while on a toilet. lol
