What is this fish?

Yeah! I was leaning toward a Cowfish, I couldn't get the darn tail fin to match for it to be a Cowfish, but the tail fin did mach a juvenile blue spot stingray.. humm... hard to tell... why no settle for cowfish with weird tail fin...

Edit: Reading some more about Blue Spot they seem very social and do not mind being petted even eating out of human hand...

We have a few of those in a petting-tank at a public science center. They sometimes swim around the outside of the tank, splashing water to make people pet them :)

That's so COOL! Yeah reading about the Blue spot it seem like a very social fish and like attention... to bad it's a saltwater fish for saltwater aquarium seem harder to have than a a normal freshwater aquarium...

They probably need a big tank, to the point of being hard to have one privately anyway ;)

Cowfish are quite common on the reefs in the gulf region.
Edit: since you're in that region avoid or kill any invasive lionfish you see. Their spines are venomous, but once removed they are extremely tasty.
