Hello my friends!
First of all, i would like to say thank you to you all, because so much kindness and friendly you are. This is the first place where i get so much people welcoming me like this, so, thank you TEST! :)

Well, this topic is about a ship. Righ now i have purchased
Mustang Alpha SC Starter - and now i have some money and i decided to upgrade it for a new ship.
So i thought you could assist me with that and give me some examples of ships that could be good for me.

I already know, that i will be a bounty hunter in the Star Citizen world. That was always my dream after watching Star Wars and playing "The Old Republic online" as a bounty hunter.

So, first of all, i'm looking for a ship with a cargo hold. Not very large, but sufficient for keeping there important cargo, such as a prisioners or another type of cargo that my clients could ask me for.

That ship should be a fighter one. Because i am a bounty hunter after all, i'm sure that people will not be very happy to meet with me, so the ship should be well equipped with both protection and armament.
Well, mobility, speed and other stuff are included too, but this is a side part of ship.

So, can anybody recommend me which ship could i check for? And also, i don't know if there is a reason to buy ship now or maybe wait and buy it later?

Thank you guys for your help!

Cutlass Blue.

DRAKE CUTLASS VARIANTS
Sleek, mean, and royal. The Cutlass Blue adds missiles, a more aggressive engine, and Durasteel holding cells in the cargo bay to the standard model. The Cutlass Blue is the outworld militia standard ship of choice for patrols.

Ideally, get an LTI placeholder and then upgrade that, but as the ship is not always for sale, it might not be possible. I highly suspect the next time this will be on-sale will be at CitizenCon or during the Anniversary sale. If you get it during the Anniversary sale, it should come with 4 or maybe 5 year insurance.

You can also get a Cutlass black, but you won't have the holding cells. You can upgrade that later, or just add them in-game

I have still heard no ruling whether the seats in the Hoplite can be replaced with cargo and holding cells. If you can put three cells along one side, I would certainly choose the Hoplite over the Blue, since it is significantly faster, can take a much harder hit, and arguably has better weapons. "Arguablly", meaning at very close range, 6 Pyrobursts in the Cutty pretty much rule.

Precious little has been shared by CIG about what the Hoplite will really offer but there was discussion from the first announcement of holding cells and cargo.

If you are Bounty Hunting, speed could turn out to be a significant issue, both for chasing bounties down and escaping traps, etc. Wise outlaws will lay traps for those who come after them.

Is it "The Vanguard Hoplite"?

I checked that ship. It's looks really cool and also there is possibility that i will be not solo bounty hunter, it's great. But do you know, maybe in future we get opportunity to re-desigh our ships? Colors, banners and etc?

The thing is ECM will be a thing in game and will be great as part of a team of ships but would you really want your only ship to be so specialised?

I thought the Avenger titan had cells if so it is the cheapest actually bounty hunter specific ship (note this is different to head hunting where you do not capture the enemy!).

If you just want a fun combat ship, quite frankly there are lots that are fun and it is a budget specific thing. Remember though you can and should plan to upgrade in game Just start of with something reasonable.

That one i think is the best option for me right now. What do you think about Avender Warlock? It's possible to make him fighter as well or he is just to stop ships and it always gonna be non-lethal?
The Warlock doesn't really have room for prisoner transport (unless they put in some way to lock the rear area where the EMP coil is)
It is good for disabling ships, but you really need to work in a team to do this.

Is it "The Vanguard Hoplite"?
Yes. Although it shares much in common with the other three, it has a different frame so cannot swap out the modular interior the way the Warden, Harbinger and Sentinel can. Personally I hope they change this and give all 4 ships the larger entryway of the Hoplite. It kinda ruins the set and the expectation of modularity to have the Hoplite so different.

However, note the point is, the Hoplite is faster than the Cutty Blue, carries bigger guns, has better shields and is just much more badass. It also costs more. The Cutty carries cargo and the Vanguards do not. Unless they change that with the Hoplite, you don't want a Vanguard if you need to carry cargo.

Another ship to consider is the Redeemer. It should still be very fast after the rework. It requires more crew, as the turrets are useless without them, but it does have some small cargo space. It may be faster than the Vanguard at least in space, though I would expect it to be sluggish in atmosphere. It is however a real bargain for what you pay. It will be interesting to see if they upgrade the manned turrets to S5. That may happen, which would make it a very hard target. The Redeemer also has a much larger missile loadout than the Hoplite. If they keep the 2x10S2 missiles, it will be a very tough machine and I would expect the missile lock computer to be on par with the Vanguard--certainly better than the Avenger or Cutty.

If you know you will hunt alone, and you want to fly a surprise, when the time comes check and see if you can fit the Drake Herald with a holding cell. There is room for it, but that does not mean they will ever allow that. It can't fight, but it is fast as blazes, and if you are snatching your bounties in port, lack of guns might not matter.

Also note the Mustang has a bed. If you can find a way to restrain people in that bed, Mustangs have the advantage they are so easily dismissed. It is good for people to look at you, and not see you. . .

I say "Cutlass blue" but since that ship is not always available,

the only other good bounty hunter ship and it is a lot faster and got cargo

and will be modular too that is the "Avenger Stalker" and that ship is always available.

And Avenger is almost as fast as the Mustang but a lot tougher as in harder to destroy,

but should you get a chance to get a Cutlass Blue as a secondary ship then go for it.
