So you are planning to fly weapons on a gimbal? I presume two sticks means no throttle, so you use what?

I have been toying with the two stick option with a lighted keyboard for some commands, but still not sure how to work that. A single key keypad for the one hand that could at times leave the stick seems to make sense:

Oh no, I plan on dual sticks plus gimballs. I also have a Vive for whwn VR bcomes a thing.

I've flown with sticks and gimballs before. Fixed is easier, but I think that I can do it fine with more practice. After all, my gimballed ships are over 60m long and it doesn't mess me up very much if I over shoot because my ship is so slow it's still catching up to the aiming.

I tried binding aim to a HAT switch too, which worked ok. These sticks have 3 great HATs on them!

If you look at the modular add-ons, the dual handed configuration, time index 50 seconds on the vid, you can mount twin sticks. The center you could mount an iPad for communications, and just next to or in front of the sticks, the single keypads (absolutely need to be backlighted.)

I'm not pleased with the look of the monitor stands and will look for something else, maybe overhead.

I like that this is small, sleek looking, and can mount speakers, actuators and transducers. The big question is, what is vital to see but you don't need to touch so should be mounted in the center? Is there an ability to port the opponent ship's status data to its own monitor? I recall when combat started the opponent ship's status was on screen, and then it went missing. Is it not available still? For present or that is the way it will be? Will be contingent on your scan ability? I know I want to see when I have shields down, and where the wounds are.

I actually loved that graphic that told you what an opponent was and which shields and hull were damaged and down. I'd love to put that front and center. That is the data I want to screw with in Electronic Warfare. . .

i like the moving articulated simpits better
Me too. You did not they have that as well. There are four actuators that mount to this platform. The "Advanced" option has lifts in the four corners. The "Professional" has larger ones. So the whole platform moves, but not as much as the larger machines. See here:

Looks like the prices are dip-stick crazy though. 52k pounds is what in US currency, about $70k? You can buy a house for that.

I bought my house this year in Arizona and it cost me $223k USD. It's a 2 bedroom house that's 1100sq ft and on a 698sqft lot. It's a nice little town home that's 3 stories tall and I love it so much :)

My friend in California (the state next door) bought his home for $750k. It's a 1 bedroom cottage with almost half the square footage as my home.

His is out in the woods and a long way from work. Mine is about 15 minutes from everything and is still in a quiet place.

:)

Homes in the USA vary a significant amount.
