You first must redeem it to find out that it can't be melted or gifted. I redeemed it right away after Citizencon, when I got home 4.5 hours later

A former colleague got 2 900P optane... i asked him if he got the codes. he said that he got the ssd through his job (early access thing) so no codes.
That sux. Maybe he can exchange it, because it has a "defect" and get a new one with a useless code, for work anyway, that he might find a use for.

It's too bad you don't want just the drive...I have a feeling the majority of the drives will be put on eBay, after people redeem the codes for the Raven.
I would take the drive since mine seems to keep getting full.( I have to many games)
