An 8 x 8 plot of land is 64 km^2 or 15,000 acres approximately. Thats huge. But even this is barely going to put a dent in the amount of land available to all players. $100 is steep and I'll wait till the game is released to see whether I want to get tied down to a planets surface and play farmville in a space game. Even Luke Skywalker knew where the adventure was and so did Rey.
