upvoted, but one little flaw, what if I want to ambush a pilot? Powering down the ship will not affect my mobi glass / communications. The ability to interact at a certain distance should be controllable.
The post doesn't suggest removing the functionality from the Mobiglass, after all it is a cell phone in the first place. :)

yeah, I know, but since rumors came out for the new MFD and Mobiglass control, all mouse instead of keybindings, there has been some tumult under the "extended hardware flight sim control" community in Star Citizen. No support for hardware cockpits, hardware MFDs, powergrid, voice attack, everything has to be done by mouse, no fast switching weapon groups, missile selection, whatever, everything has to be done by mouse, meantime abandoning ship control. Not a very good thing to do during fight.
Even a fast approach and landing can be hazardous, because you must go to mobiglass / comms, request landing and hope that you regain fast enough control over your ship before you crash into Olisar.

IMO, having everything like MFD and Mobiglass all mouse, instead of keybindings is the *stupidest* idea, ever.

I know that the MobiGlass is an integral part of CR's vision of the game, but I find it nuts to think that, if you are flying along and there are potential hostiles around, you have to bring up something that will not just take away your forward view, but also disables any immediate ability to control the ship.

I would suggest that the MobiGlass idea is fine for on-foot, but in your ship you need a "bluetooth hands-free phone" equivalent.

Oh it is much worse than that. You are taking both hands off the controls to use the Mobiglass. Suicidal in most cases where you are required to do so.

In the real world cars don't even require that, between Siri, Cortana and Google, there is no reason to remove your hands from the controls to do things on your phone. And that is just for cars that don't have a bluetooth connection and controls on the steering wheel.
