It still amazes me after all these years that other dev studios can't even get to the point of mimicking what Warframe has done so well.

Battletech does it fairly well imo. The numbers are small but readable and change color when you hit internal structure.
How ELSE do you know how much damage you are dealing? There's no healthbar....
Usually when it explodes or stops moving its dead.
