OK, so had a to take a break from SC after my disappointment with 3.1.

While off I have been playing the hell out of DCS and that resulted in a new build, now rocking Gigabyte A370 HD3 MoBo, i7 8700K at 4.8 GHz, 32GB of 3000 MHz DDR4 (going to 64) and a GTX 1070 Ti.

In DCS I have become addicted to VR, so when I redownloaded SC last night I also installed vorpX and have experimented with it, gotta say, the Connie is awwesome in VR but forced VR is just not the same as native, will need to do a lot more tweaking/experimentation to get things where I need it but was seeing FPS of 70-90 in VR in Arena Commander.

Anybody else playing with VR in SC? Looking for suggestions/recommendations/settings, etc.

Also, what is best way currently make the monies in 3.2.2? I've literally been away since like March so I have forgotten a lot.

Feelin' salty about the Carrack and the Mustang rework (doesn't look good for the CamperStang) but still hopin' for a good outcome overall.

Welcome back!

So, I don't think there is a whole lot more "meat" on 3.2 than there was on 3.1. There was a large get-together of TESTies online last week, which I missed, but would like to join up with next time.

Other than that, I'm really looking forward to 3.3! They did seem to (maybe) iron out some of the mission bugs, so there should be more of them, and you should be able to carry a box up a ladder (& down), etc., so maybe try those? Running cargo is still ok, less prone to crashing, and you can log out in your bed on a lot of ships. The ATC landing pad bugs are what have be frustrated, now (one of the reasons I'm focusing on missions instead of cargo, I don't have to pray I can get a landing pad when I have a full load of cargo).

Well thanks all.

Made the mistake of exploring the verse in VR and without controls effectively bound, lost my Avenger trying to be a good samaritan after losing 1500 credits on refuel, refit and repairs and failing a 460 credit escort mission, am seriously having 3.0 and 3.1 flashbacks all over again. This is why I liked 3.0 and trading so much by comparison.

Seems the Crusader system is full of pirates, both AI and player....oh well, it was totally unfun but I did bag a Buccaneer before a Pirate Connie got me after I knocled two engines off and turned the hull blood red on my HUD, can't strafe circle worth a damn right now so I need to get that back.

The systems changes for QD are nice although I forgot how hard it was to simply select a QD destination (seem Avernger does have some HUD and HOTAS functionality for that though...need to learn moar.

Time for the rambling mans rant: I'd say welcome back, but I don't remember your front, and does that mean I would welcome you turning your back on me and leaving us once again? Why aren't we saying "welcome front"? Or is that a slang term for front'in, as in he was never really what he appeared to be *gasp* and does that mean your not really our long lost Gimp, returned to us from beyond the great ass-tro'nomical (see what I did there) distance that we cant actually measure since distance has no value in the internet? Which means were actually discussing a perceived absence of time. Thus I can only come to one conclusion that the proper colloquial term to use in this exact specific moment and instance of familiar greetings is this. "About damn time." . . . though now that I think about it, "you were gone?" could also be used depending on your point of view and relationship with the OP, to which I have none, and so I bid you adieu.

...unless he was walking backwards when he came back in... and if he left again still walking backwards (or 'backed out') would that mean he'd turn his front on us...?
