Yeah, I've read some of Sun Tzu's The Art of War, didn't finish it since I'm waiting for the coloring book or TLDR to come out. However, Sun Tzu can eat a dick. What I said was a paraphrase of what a German general said about the US in a debriefing at the end of WWII, that the reason the American Army does so well in wartime, is that war is chaos, and the American Army practices it on a daily basis. Also it's an allusion to another saying that a serious problem in planning against American doctrine is that the Americans do not read their manuals. I don't recall Sun Tzu winning TWO WOLD WARS, curb stomping the largest Empire of the time, and even winning a war against itself.

haha, I noticed no one Fuck Yeah'd "sportsmanship" or "books" in that video.

I don’t recall America winning two world wars either.

WW1 was America saying “no tea for us please” until the Germans were a bit silly with their Uboats, and WW2 was more of the same.
“World” Wars. Unlike the World Series.

Yeah, America wasn't getting involved in Europe's bs till it too much bs and stank wafted it's way, then it joined and the war helped the allies push and win. The allies would most likely have won without America, but it would have taken a lot longer. Also America didn't lose a war against emos.

It seems my jab done in jest brought about a more serious discussion. It is interesting how different leadership tactics can bring about different outcomes and even how a successful leadership skill effectiveness is dependent on the social upbringing of the group.

Please expand on "leadership skills" - as in leadership of the conversation?

Ooooh, how I want to join in on this, but I won't because POLITICS IS NOT ALLOWED, so be civil and nice and Uncle 'BobFace won't have to get his big book of facts out and wrap you all over the knuckles with it, okay?

Just don't go looking for the results of the Nye Committee, right?

I know. Sadly we’ll never get to discuss the emo war. Fun fact, the emo casualties were entirely self-inflicted.
With a foe like that you wouldn't even need to battle them. If you don't fight you don't win or loose.

Digging deeper and on a more serious note, some people postulate that one reason why it can be harder to plan against US military is not necessarily poor training or not following combat doctrine, but that it's the mix of cultures and people that gives various approaches to an objective. Can't remember the sources, so it could just be internet armchair generals venting their brain. I could definitely see various types of people giving variations from a core practice.
