Yup 3.4 is out and it took 22 jumps to get to Lorville from Port Olisar in my Prospector as I kept getting a message saying thrusters overheating so the QD kept shutting down ???
I had a very similar problem in PTU, not sure if bug or just sucks that much to travel that far in that small of a ship. Have you tried any other ship? Someone mentioned you can overclock the coolers to get a bit more distance between overheats.Yup 3.4 is out and it took 22 jumps to get to Lorville from Port Olisar in my Prospector as I kept getting a message saying thrusters overheating so the QD kept shutting down ???

It's a feature now ingame where the quantum drive can overheat, I imagine they just have not balanced it yet.I'm hoping its a bug , havn't tried another ship so far though .

As Intruder said above, you have to overlock your cooler or coolers.
- Ship quantum drives now produce heat and are capable of overheating.
I think they implemented QDrive overheating to discourage people from jumping around Universe like crazy -- i.e. for no reason -- with no consequences.
I just played about 90 mins of 3.4 in the PU smooth and no crashesI heard they pulled that 3.4 release? I was playing in the PTU tihs morning, and that was what I heard.
