Ship rentals

Hey testers, I posted a question regarding ship rentals that I think we would all like answered on an upcoming CAD or RTV.

Ya good call. I would love to be able to rent a Prospector from... anyone.

I would advise that it is usually not a great idea to ask "when" questions as they very very rarely get answered with other than a "soon".

upvoted - and I agree it could be a huge market segment for player-driver ship rentals - and a great way to generate passive revenue streams (e.g. setting up a shop with your fleet and rent it out to players).

I for one would love to have something like that in place - and would justify actually owning multiple ships, other than for "fun" purposes! :)

I think the market for rentals would be quite limited given the large availability of ships friends loan one another. If you want to fly a Prospector, there are plenty of people will loan you one, so why would you rent one?
