I'm glad I ended up preordering The Division 2. Plays and feels like Division 1 with overall game mechanic improvements.
I think the most underrated difference is the world itself. IMHO, it feels more real and alive than the first one. Dynamic weather like the rain storms are outstanding and immersive.

There are a TON of things to do in the game and the loot is bountiful. It's a pretty solid title IMHO.

Is anyone organizing a raiding party for April 25th, when the game's first raid opens?
8-man raids are going to be FUN AS HELL!
Gear up, agents!

My mates been trying to get me to buy this, I was underwhelmed with division 1.

Should I?

Really depends on what you didn't like about Div 1. At its' core Div2 still plays very much the same as the original. The world definitely feels more alive compared to the first, and the overall mechanics of the game are improved. At the end of the day it's still a looter shooter so you'll end up seeing the same "objective loops" throughout full gameplay but there are tons of things to do, even outside the main mission story line. With the main missions and "unlocks" there is enough game here to be worthy of a purchase, even if you aren't interested in end-game pvp.

need to get back to the game...

got busy with 2 assignments back to back and no time to play...
and when I did, I just watched Triple Frontier on Netflix so I had the urge to try out the Ghost Recon Wildlands I got for free with the game...

I am a casual player only up to lvl19 nevermind gear score and the game is fun. I am getting better or the gear is because I die less often more aware of flankers etc (Occasionally I get those runners who I just keep missing). I do not know the longevity of the game but I have enjoyed exploring. I answer the call occasionally and that works well too. I never played division 1.

Yeah, I've been taking my time and exploring the world as well. The Division 1 world felt more copy and pasted while Div 2 feels very life like. (They actually used satellite imagery to build Washing D.C accurately, down to even real store fronts). The "main" story took me 30 hours alone, which is enough entertainment value for me to buy a game. I didn't really do much end-game in Division 1 (though I had nearly 90 hours into it), as it was basically a pvp sandbox that wasn't very solo friendly. Division 2 seems to be focusing more on PVE co-op end game content, which personally looks more promising

Think of the Division 2 like Division 1 with all the DLC, patches and updates combined plus more, its basically what Division 1 should have been, its a huge improvement over 1 and about 1000x's better than Anthem lol. I have 150 hrs into this game already and still coming back and we don't even have the raids yet.

Also I am not sure how TSB is doing but TSA is down to about 10-15 active players we should prolly see if we can merge the two at this point.
