new roadmap is up...The Hull C is gone. Looks like the orbital warehouses are gone too and ship to station docking is in 4.0.

I had a bad feeling when Lando mentioned the Hull C and it "needing a lot of things" when they did the SCL today...

From the Roundup
Hull-C
Work on this ship continues, but its release is currently blocked by a few tech pre-requisites including a physics refactor that needs to be submitted to our game-dev stream, as well as additional work from the engine team that will create scaleable & multiple physics grids. We are continuing to work on the Hull-C, but are prioritizing its needs for Squadron 42 – the work we plan to finalize in Q4 is not quite enough for a PU release.

If you were curious about the Cutlass Blue being moved back.
Cutlass Blue
The Cutlass Blue has moved from 3.8 to 3.9 for a couple of reasons, but they boil down to the Banu Defender taking longer than initially planned. With work on the Defender being wrapped up for 3.7, either the Cutlass Red or Blue needed to move back one quarter. After evaluation, the decision was made to focus on the Cutlass Red, resulting in the Cutlass Blue moving back.

I saw this coming when they moved back ship to station docking, really sucks I have a Hull-C CCU and was getting excited to use it. Should have known better

It indeed sucks it seems SQ42 is cannibalizing all the development resources and the PU will really not see any major updates until after SQ42 beta.
I was expecting this to be the case and anything that's improved for S42 would be what arrives in the PU patches until the single player game is done. Just stands to reason.

On the plus side, however we are getting close to getting one of the parts of the game!!!1

I will have to see how much it retails for, however although I already own a copy of S42 with my original pledge, I really want to buy an off-the-shelf copy too :)

Let them work squadron 42, its single player, same engine, same tech. this will end up win/win. all the assets being worked out in sq42 is easily transferable to star citizen. i feel that overall once sq42 hits alpha, star citizen is going to come along fast.

My guess is that they are still having issues with the physics grids for the Connie/Merlin, Caterpillar/Command module, etc., and this is delaying every ship with a weird ship-to-ship connection. Hope they get it ironed out soonest.

This is what I've been expecting. Honestly, it is probably in everybody's best interests if they just focus on getting SQ42 out the door in the best shape possible...then they can pivot and focus *all* available resources on SC.

Half-measures on everything usually only ensures everything is half-baked.

Sad to see the cargo ship moved, but extremely happy to see some logical explanations in regards to why they are adjusting/moving things around.

That's the issue they already said they are not going to pivot the development staff working on SQ42 to the PU as they will start working on Ep2. I just hope that the cannibalized resources will return to the PU and not remain working on SQ42 until it dries up.

What I want to know is, why did they drop the Taurus off the roadmap? Is it so different from the Andromeda, Aquila, Phoenix and Emerald Phoenix that they can't make it flight ready? Is CI having so many problems with the physics grids that they need to get the cargo lift working without stuff falling through the floor before they finish the Taurus? Can CI not deliver on the shielded cargo bay so they stopped production? Did CR say that the Cutlass is good enough for now, so develop other ships and they'll get a new cargo ship out when time permits? I can't understand not finishing the Constellation line, especially when the Taurus should be the easiest of the line to finish. GRRRRRRRRRR!

I'm just guessing:
- maybe they decided to update the constellation series (with or after ship to ship docking?) with the phoenix?
- Most likely also more ressources will be shifted towards SQ42 and moved away from the PU

I suspect the Taurus will benefit from the physics refactoring that they need for the Hull C. Once they have that physics refactor, expect elevators and movable cargo decks to be better than they are currently.

This will also benefit ships like the 600i, 890J, the Retaliator (internal modules can then be added), and the Reclaimer

it's only going to be as good as they need it for SQ42, but it won't cut it for the PU
