I like the massaged new Redeemer they've sleek it a lot.

How does this compare to the other gunship, the Andromeda?
Is the Conny a supposed gunship?? Anyway I think this is way better: bigger turret and more of them. Even if it giive in the missile rack and the trasport capability, this is way better to fload an area with suppressing fire: if you have ever try to engage a graund target with a fully crewed Valkyrie you know what I mean, and this looks more brrrrt-capable due to the bigger brrrrrrt.

I wonder what they'll use the interal space for now... living quarters for long range mission?? Like the Vanguard Warden interior but upscaled??

The andromeda have a lot of versatile & forward firepower with those size 4 dudes at a distance. And it can't even get 4 size 5s right now, being limited to only two in the top.

But if you get in close range it becomes an commercial for the importance of snow tires - too drifty. Besides that, these delicious guns are all on the very vulnerable engines of the Constellation . . . your enemy will have a great time destroying to major components with a single shot (or sequence of shots). Conclusion: Constellations are not that great - but are kind of good.

The Redeemer may not have a overwhelmingly greater than a Connie DPS, but it has the right things in correct positions:

- turrets with size 4s top and bottom (althout the bottom position kinda suck).
- pilot has a freelancer like firepower (gimballed and powerfull), BUT, they are not so exposed on the checks of the ship like the lancer is.

Seriously, I would compare it to the Caterpillar combat wise. Same turrets, great placements, similar pilot guns. But where the Caterpillar is seen as the least dangerous of the large ones, the compact size of the Redeemer makes it a top in mediums imo.

The non turret guns are also pretty hidden, you are not going to lose them first in a battle.

Weaponry
As mention this is a gunship, a 5 (edit: I put 4 in first draft, derp) person multicrew gunship which means we don't want the pilot out the box controlling all of the guns. Of course you can chose to slave some of those in the future with CPU blades (there isnt enough capacity to do them all) but really the goal here is to bring a crew for maximum damage.

As for the weapons themselves, we often use existing weapons and scale them up to the desire size for concept work so people eyeballing the weapon size are in for a treat. As it stands this is what the ship packs:
  • Top Manned Turret - Twin S5 Ballistic Gatlings
  • Bottom Manned Turret - Twin S5 Ballistic Gatlings
  • Rear Remote Turret - Twin S3 Laser Cannons
  • Front Remote Turret - Twin S3 Laser Cannons
  • Pilot controlled Wing Mounts - 2x S4 Ballistic Repeater (fixed by default)
  • Pilot controlled missiles - 4x S4 Racks (Quad S2 by default per rack, integrated under intakes)

The Connie is also much more of a missile boat, having many times the missiles of the redeemer.

i think the redeemer will shine when fully crewed. When soloing or duoing, the Connie will be slightly better. When both are fully crewed and used correctly, both will be good ships.

Now if only we knew how many server blades it would come with to figure out how many of the turrets can be remote controlled by the pilot. I'm guessing 2, but I'm hoping for a 3rd to have the front, top & bottom turrets controlled by the pilot, let a crew member watch the backs & another handle the systems. That would be a 3 person wrecking crew.

People are complaining about the firepower, but forgetting that the Redeemer is NOT a huge ship, its a little bit longer than a Vanguard, and has 5 to 6 times the firepower, PLUS missiles.

There is no way the front turret is not pilot controlled as well as wing mounts, so its going to have at least the same firepower as a MIS, PLUS the 4 size 5s which are going to absolutely fuck up anything up to medium size, and most likely make a dent in any large ships day as well.
