Which one is gonna gib Mercury Star Runner? I'm a spokesman for the GEFS(Give Everybody Free Spaceships)party, and we're pretty radical and new. I don't think anybody has ever tried to buy votes with spaceships before. Which candidate will bend to our will?
#GIB you have my vote!

I got to wonder if electing Addison means CIG actually focuses more on bringing computer blades and AI turrets online 2021
I went with Costigan, because someone said somewhere the "Lore Dev's" didn't like him.

To be honest, I don't really mind choosing the "wrong" candidate or the "badguy" in this case, because if it turns out that the next imperator is useless at the job, it still should translate to more gameplay stuff.
Like what if the one who promises better trades and less tax on trading turns out to be an idiot and causes the opposite? That could translate to more opportunities to smuggle stuff. Same goes with any of them messing up for example the defense against the vanduul. More raids more fights to be had, more opportunities for mercs and more exciting cargo runs.
It should be a win-win no matter who wins!

Well, elections run till 24th October, so there is still time. From reading the available info and interviews, as well as with listening to the radio/announcer at New Babbage where they announce pros and cons on each of the candidates, at this stage it seems that promises from Paul LeSalle may have better overall outcome for the empire. However, there is still time, so some new info may come up.
