I would go smaller, so they can stand and maneuver on stations, and bigger ships. I would put 2 infantry weapons on one arm, a very nasty melee weapon (chainsaw equivalent, something that can also breach) on the other, and mount an Animus or Railgun on the back that rotates up and fires over the shoulder. Instead of 2 infantry weapons on one in three, I would, optionally, mount a flame thrower. Add jump packs for outdoor maneuverability and EVA mobility.
Agreed, and what I was saying. If the knee slides down to connect with the foot, it's only a few inches taller than a person and can get in and out of ships for easy transport, then extend the leg and only then do you get the enhanced speed and maneuverability of an additional joint in the leg. And you should be a little bit taller than the Vanduul. What are they, 9'?

I'd go with Bulldogs in each forarm, and a carried weapon and shield, and shoulder missile pack. Doesn't have to be as big as a Bulldog as you say, but they fit two of them on the Nox, so seems not overboard here. Jump pack would be awesome but no sign of that yet. Carried weapons. . ."will that be axe, hammer or sword, sir?"

The bulldog is 1m long, that is too big for hallways. It is also a serious power drain on limited batteries or tiny powerplant.

The other arm is the Emperor's fist, chain fist, sword, etc. So you may smite the Emperor's foes.
I prefer longer range, so burning is preferred. If I can't do that then chain fist is my preferred.

Back to subject. What kind of weapon(s) would you like to see on a Titan Suit, presuming the main weapon is a S1 of some kind. And if it were to have a small Secondary, what would you have it be?

Now my preference is a pair of M4s, or maybe a pair of F55s, or a heavy flamer on one side. Then on the other arm something capable of dismembering a Vanduul. I want to be able to maneuver in hallways. The heavy weapon, animus, or railgun, that rotates up and fires over the shoulder.

I think ballistics are more likely- much easier to power and you can actually shorten a gun barrel, whereas you may be able to do that with a laser gun as well?

Personally I would take a Tarantula GT-870 mk I or a 9 series Longsword for the main weapon- dependable and consistent rate of fire. Should be able to reload it with magazines I would imagine? Once armor is in I would bet these have higher than average penetration values which would matter a bit.

Secondary I would say an inbuilt pair of LMGs like the F55 or upcoming FS-9. Hook them up to a belt feed and there you go.

For primary there whould be only one choice:

for the secondsary weapon system a granade launcher whould be interesting, but also a small missile launcher like the Animus whould be interesting to be able to deal with the smal veichels treat whitout burning trough your ammo reserve (even if its cool is not "taactical advisable"...)

Now when I was an 11B (And yes, that is light infantry, no battle taxi) a fireteam was 4, and a squad was two fireteams. In each fireteam was a SAW (Light Machinegun), 3 Assault Rifles, one Grenade Launcher, and a handful (4-6) of disposable Light Anti-Tank weapons. Each Platoon had a weapons squad, which was 2 Medium (General Purpose) machineguns, and two anti-tank guided missile launchers.

That is the basis for my choices here. The animus or railgun on the back is light anti-armor, and the type of weapons that are generally included in an infantry fire team.

Basically a Suit from John Ringo's "A Hymn Before Battle," Marines from David Weber's "On Basilisk Station," and Mobile Infantry Marauder suits from Heinlein's "Starship Troopers" (The book, not the movies.) The extreme version is Terminators from Warhammer 40K.

Now, if that was the design philosophy for the Titan Suits, then I would also want a different suit for the platoon's weapons squad, still not size one weapons but a medium machineguns or equivalent, a Medic Suit, a lighter, faster, recon suit (No railgun, only one infantry weapon, still needs some kind of melee weapon and better sensors.) and a Command Suit (The big difference compared to the base suit being more coms and the Recon Suit's sensors.)

The Marauder suits were the grandaddy of them all and would stomp most of the others, at least up to Terminators but that's only because those guys can wield heavy plas and beamers. Those suits Heinlein came up with were big, strong AND....ffffffast. Plus, you know....they could mount a low yield city killer over one shoulder lol. I think the suits from Armor by Steakley is the best runner up IMO, though not the scout suits (a lousy SCOUT?!?).

For this game though, I'd say to stick with infantry weapons. During the craptoberfest event I watched a lot of videos of dudes lining up to get gunned down by ship weapons....and it was rather alarming how those weapons did NOT turn everyone to aerosolized blood vapor at the slightest touch. It'd be like watching the AH-64's chain gun take several direct hits to down someone. At least with the infantry weapons they seem to get the job done.

Dunno, maybe this is the dreaded "game balance" issue rearing its terrible head again. For me, weapon balance in shooter games is abhorrent. Back when me and friends played CoD4/MW1 and BF we always played on hardcore/infantry only....one, maybe two body shots=down and anything touches the head=down, no crosshairs etc. Used to take turns picking servers to join and one guy, failing to find enough open spots one day, dumped us all into a normal game. After I got over the shock of crosshairs I then was gobsmacked when I dumped a mag from my trusty G3 into someone and they went down on the last round....I bailed, told them I was going for beer and to call me when that server was over lol

I think the people not dying instantly is server related tbh.

Fair enough, at least I hope so. I've seen quite a few videos of this and others were energy weapons just knock people around. The blast lifts them off the ground and throws them, then the following rounds just make the character ride a wave of blasts and they end up basically body surfing along lol

Agree with this, actually dying in SC is preatty easy if you have a solid hit...
I've seen a video on armor test a while ago and while wearing an heavy armor it usually take 3-4 shot of an assault rifle to kill some player while hitting the torso, I think is a fair compromise...

The heavy armor is power armor tho, it should shrug off most small arms.

Hmm looks more like some code for some Pirate Avenger, possibily for the Idris mission???
I can see some Pirate Idris have some Titan as carried fighter or for escorts...
