The Red Festival also marks your last chance to pick up a Crusader Industries A2, C2, or M2 Hercules Starlifter at their current price before they become flyable later this year.

Don't if you have already the upgrade package you can just wait for the C2 to came into play, look at it in-game, try one form someone else and then decide... no stress attach
Now this is a top plan. :like:

I've got a standard Starfarer as well, and prefer it over the G - the standard is bad to fly but the G is awful to fly. That combined with all the exploded Starfarer G's I've seen over the course of XenoThreat Phase2 and you get the feeling this isn't the ship that's going to be carrying you to Glory 😅

just to confirm, does the price increase apply to upgrades in buy-back list also? or are those locked in?
Not a 0$ buy back but I think I have one that costs 35-50$.
Normally yes, it rise CCU price in buyback. But it seems they did not update the matrix for CCU in buybacks, so many ships released in the past months still have their old price for the CCU in buyback (BMM, Talon, MSR...). I have a lot of those CCU in buybacks still at old price.

CIG has gratuitously allowed people to buy back melted SHIP pledges for the price people have paid in the past. The same has not applied to CCUs and is not guaranteed in the future for ships, if you have melted a CCU you no longer own it. If you buy it back, you need to do so at the current rate.

Before you complain, this can also work in your favor. If the lower cost ship in the CCU pair increases in value, you can then repurchase the CCU for a lower price.

To sum up, CCUs are always sold at the rate that currently matches the difference between the credit purchase prices of the two ships, no matter if you are buying them fresh, or repurchasing them from your buy back list.
CCUs that you OWN (not melted, but IN YOUR HANGAR), will not cost you any additional cash unless you melt them later on.

This is not always true. But it is the rule normally. So do not count on what i write under for granted in the future.

As i said above, and i checked again last night, some CCU i have in buyback are still possible to be repurchased for the old price difference (Gemini/Mole to BMM 100$ less than new CCU, Prospector to MSR 35$ less than new CCU and a few others). Actually it seems like a bunch of my old CCU are still with the old price. @Doyzer once said that it was the same for him. So i do not know when does CIG update their CCU matrix, because clearly a lot of mine are not updated.

CIG DONT always change they buy back CCU price, same as didnt nuke all the $0 CCUs when they said they would.

All they nuked was the big $ ones, the ones that only gave out $10 or $15 they left alone, I used a load to get a $250 BMM this last sale.

I can still buy Terrapin to Star Runner CCus for $5 from my buy backs for instance.

Damn. You are right. All these Star Runner CCUs I have are worth a bucket full now. Interesting.

@vahadar I have no clue how buyback prices work anymore. I have some old buybacks that changed prices after ships increased in prices. I also have some that did not change prices. It looks like all of my newer buybacks are invalid if the from ship becomes more expensive than the to ship.
