I am not amused, but not entirely surprised. You certainly want to make sure any passwords you use are secured, and use a third factor, like a fingerprint or other biometric scan, or a one time code sent to your cell phone - it's annoying to be sure but it's safe. Something you have, Something you know, Something you are.We need them beers to liven up the party!
Not seeing many threads with jazzed up people / topics on the official SC boards, compared to past years.
On Twitch: It looks like the party has already started over there (in a not so good way): https://massivelyop.com/2021/10/06/twitch-suffers-massive-data-breach-as-a-hacker-gets-away-with-source-code-and-streamer-payout-details/
If you gonna use 1 time code, it's a good idea to not use SMS based service. It's pretty vulnerable, even without hacks like this that lasted 5 years!I am not amused, but not entirely surprised. Good point. lol, despite what many people think, none of the S's in SMS stand for "security".If you gonna use 1 time code, it's a good idea to not use SMS based service.
